Just For You, Just Because

Was created in 2013 by our founder who wanted to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, even if only for a moment.

Just For You, Just Because began with a bouquet of yellow gerbera daisies. Our founder, Juliana, handed out single daisies while on walks, in parking lots, in long-term care facilities, retirement homes, and outside of hospitals as a means to brighten the day of others within the community. From there, together with her family and friends, yellow gerbera daisies were handed out in multiple communities across North America~ which we continue to do to this day!

With everything that is happening in our world today, we understood that we needed to expand our acts of kindness to improve our communities throughout the world.

We believe in equality, that no one should go hungry, and that everyone should have equal access to clean water, healthcare, and education. We want to create an inclusive, accessible, sustainable, and regenerative future for generations to come, and in order to do this we know that it starts from within. Our overall vision encompasses healthy people coexisting on a healthy planet. We chose our logo because we love the symbolism of a yellow gerbera. We placed a heart in the center because we are a heart-based group.

We Chose the Yellow Gerbera Daisy

As our symbol because it represents happiness and the celebration of life! Throughout history, this flower has been used as a way to show appreciation for the joy that life brings. Yellow portrays cheerfulness and it is our intention to present a tiny ray of sunshine to someone, with the hope that it may brighten their day.

Juliana recently lost her father whom she was very close with, suddenly and unexpectedly. She additionally lost her grandmother a few weeks later. With the knowledge that love continues on, Juliana is in the process of creating initiatives to help others in their honor.

“An act of kindness is a thoughtful way to show others you care. That they matter. It might just be what someone needs at that very moment. Perhaps it is the fuel that helps them carry on with their day, or it could make an already great day even brighter. Being kind to others is an act of love. Let's commit to spreading our acts of kindness to all corners of the world.

Many of us are working through major losses: loved ones, lifestyles, jobs, homes, etc. These are difficult events to be presented with, but we are working through them. Every day. The ability to face these major losses head-on is a superhero quality, if you ask me."
